Elemental Play

Elemental Play is a small business located in the lush rainforests of the Pacific Northwest, focusing on creating exquisite handcrafted pottery. Artist Erika, known as E~Love, has spent over 30 years working with clay, drawing inspiration from her profound love for nature, family, community, travel, and music. With influences from her experiences in hiking, foraging, and enjoying her garden, she produces whimsical pottery by E~Love that showcases the beauty and spirit of the natural world.

Erika Worman (E~Love) is a creative artist skilled in various mediums. Her love for handcrafted pottery began during a wheel throwing class at Lane Community College in 1992. In 2001, Erika founded Elemental Play, a pottery studio for everyone, in Eugene, Oregon, where she offered classes in hand building and wheel throwing. Children thrived in after-school programs, spring break and summer camps, as well as parent-child classes—there were even sessions for adults featuring clay and wine. These experiences evolved into the Exploring The Arts series, encouraging everyone to experiment with a wide range of mediums and mixed media. In 2017, she returned to the central Oregon coast to be closer to family and established a studio at home, continuing her journey with pottery by E~Love.

Inspiration flows from our forested home studio nestled in the foothills of the beautiful central Oregon coast. Our love for hiking, foraging in the woods, playing in the garden, and relaxing on the beach has cultivated a deep admiration for all things Pacific Northwest. This passion for nature and world traveling beautifully merges into our whimsical, nature-inspired art, including our unique Elemental Play series and our handcrafted pottery, featuring stunning pieces from pottery by E~Love.
